MEG GRAHAM MUSIC

Offering hope in song and in word.

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, I’ve been surrounded all my life by beauty of many different kinds. Denver is a pretty eclectic place, all cultured elegance surrounded by natural grandeur, and that unique aura extends to the music its citizens create. My own musical style tends heavily toward Southern Gospel, as that’s what I was raised on and where my heart lies; but I’ve also been influenced by Country, Oldies, Hymns, Alternative, Contemporary Christian, and Modern Vocal Art Music.

I am the eldest of four in my family, all adopted, and that has given me a deep appreciation for family and a heart for young people in general. I’ve spent the last ten years volunteering for a youth organization The Civil Air Patrol, helping train young people in leadership skills, emergency services, and wilderness survival. I also am Head of Nursery Services at my local church Kehilat T’Nuvah , where I care for babies and toddlers during services and special events.

My background lies almost entirely in music. My degree is in Music Performance, and I’ve been performing on stage since I was eight years old, when I sang in church with my three siblings. The four of us went on to become "The Graham Family Singers," a vocal quartet with three albums and over 300 appearances in 13 states under our belts. Music, and everything that came with it, encompassed much of my childhood: singing, playing the piano, rehearsing, recording, performing, travelling, and ministering in any way we could was a way of life rather than a simple hobby. It slowly transformed from a thing a kid does because her parents request it, into a desire to create a life of ministry and artistry.

In a world so full of strife and pain and aggression, I aim to create music and stories that will remind people that there is so much still worth fighting for - love and joy and community and laughter. The LORD tells us to hold tightly to Him and each other when the darkness threatens to overwhelm; and I hope to help others do just that. The world doesn’t need another pretty voice.

They need a vessel to point them back to the One True Light. I hope to be that vessel.

Love,
Meg
